River City Vineyard is a church and community centre in Sarnia, Ontario. We are part of the Association of Vineyard Churches in Canada. This is a growing movement of churches across Canada, sharing resources and relationship, as we serve Jesus and make Him known.

Our goal is to serve our city with as many areas of community outreach as possible. In addition to our Sunday services, through the week we operate an emergency food bank and "snack pack" program, a shower program (where anyone is able to come and take a hot shower and receive any required toiletries), a “free” store (where donated clothing and small household items are free for the taking), a community garden and a homeless shelter. Our current homeless shelter houses 25 beds, and these beds are almost always full. We have recently opened our new homeless shelter expansion that houses 40 additional beds, including 15 beds specifically for women. After over 3 years of hard work, we are so excited to finally have our expansion open!

Though we are now a drug free facility, we still do everything we can to help those in need who are still in active drug use. This was a very difficult decision as we have a heart for those suffering in addiction, but we wanted to be a safe space for those who are coming off of drugs to be able to encourage their sobriety. We are witnessing amazing success stories with our guests which is so encouraging!

The sign on top of the front door of our building reads “Come as you are, you will be loved”, and we strive to live this out for each and every individual that we serve, in any capacity that we can.
