Mission Statement

What Love Does

The love of God is restless. It is never content until it has reached the lowest place and the farthest place. We are who we are because this love has reached us and is reaching though us, calling us together and then calling us out – never satisfied until this love has the first and last word in everything we do. This is simply what love does.

What Love Does attempts to translate who we are, who we are becoming and what we do as a result of our encounter with the One who has changed us. This is our story, and hopefully your story.

Who we are

We are a family of Christian believers who facilitate relationships with Jesus Christ, (each other and our community) in a loving, forgiving environment that is culturally current.

We are captured by His voice, His song, His people, His justice and His kingdom.

The Mission of River City Vineyard

Our mission is to carry out

1.      The great commandment (Matt 22:37) – to love God, one other, and those who are not like us.
We will live out our motto “Come as you are and you will be loved”.

2.      To be active

i)        Isaiah 61 – to show people how we got set free, help others to get free from life’s troubles and to be there for them.

ii)      Matthew 28:18-20 – to lead others and mentor them to do the same as directed and by the authority given to us in Matt 28.

3.      Plant new churches that heal, love and promote Kingdom values.

4.      Be a resource and a change agent to the existing church.
